Q. How does TurboChart work?
A. TurboChart is a DLL, which works in conjuction with other programs. Data is relayed from the primary program
to the DLL which in turn creates an image file that can be displayed, emailed, printed or transfered.
Q. What format are the images generated by TurboChart?
A. TurboChart supports Bitmap (.bmp) JPEG (.jpg) and Portable Network Graphic (.png).
Q. How do I install Turbochart.dll?
A. Installing Turbochart.dll is very easy. Simply follow these steps.
- Copy the Turbochart.dll file into your windows\system32
directory (any directory may be used, this windows\system32 is the default directory for dll's and
is a nice place to store something when you don't want it to go anywhere).
- Go to start -> run
- Type CMD in the open: input box.
- Once the command prompt opens change directories to windows\system32 (type cd \windows\system32).
- Type REGSVR32 TurboChart.dll
Your dll is now registered and ready for use.
(Note: It is possible to use Turbochart.dll in applications without registering it by using direct dll reference,
consult our OEM documentation in instances where this is required)
Q. Now that I've installed Turbochart.dll, how do I use it?
A. Turbochart is most commonly interfaced through a COM object, and requires a limited knowledge of scripting.

Q. What are the differences between the demo version and the registered versions of Tubrochart?
A. The demo version of Turbochart will dispaly "TurboChart Demonstration" on your chart until it is registered.
Q. What are the different types of charts that TurboChart will generate.
A. TurboChart was designed to be very flexible, here is a quick list of each type of chart. For
a more detailed listing visit our features page.
- Bar Charts - Bar Charts are a good way of displaying a multitude of data. You can multiple rows
and columns of bars, with multiple bars in each column. The bar chart also support multiple
layers allowing you to display comineded data in an easy and pleasent to view manner. The
bar char also allows you to expand the Z point and graph many different instances of rows and
columns.
- Line Charts - Line charts are a good way of displaying data that changes over a period (not limited
to chronological data). You can also generate area charts in which the lines are filled down
allowing the non-overlaping data behind to show through. Combinded fill-area charts can also
be generated, combinging multiple sets of data together in one line graph but deliniting the
difference between the two. 2D line and fill graphs can also be generated for more
precision charting.
- Pie Charts - Pie charts are an ideal of way to display fractional data that adds up to a whole.
Options exist to explode all, or just specific pieces of the pie, and also expand different
pie sections in a vertical direction.
Q. Whenever I generate a chart, the colors are not what I want them to be.
A. Whenever you specify a chart image format and use a different file extension (such as specifing a PNG format
and calling your image chart.jpg) the colors will be skewed.
